Classes open this August at Dusit Hospitality Management College:Enrollment Ongoing

Hi,

As far as I know, Culinary course is one of the expensive course a student could enrolled to.

Not only they have are one of the highest paying tuition fee, there is also the other expenses that comes with it; like the uniform, projects and on the job training as well.

But now, I have learned that there is now a way to lessen those expenses and the tuition as well.

I recently attend an intimate forum where in a new culinary school is introduced.

Students and young professionals looking to pursue a career in hospitality management and the culinary arts can begin their journey this year at what promises to be the most advanced and internationally-integrated hospitality management school in Southeast Asia.

Introduced in 2016, Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC), nearing completion in Bonifacio Global City, brings together three of the most trusted names in international hospitality and culinary education — Dusit International, Switzerland’s world-renowned École Hôtelière de Lausanne, and Institut Paul Bocuse from Lyon, France – to offer students education and training aligned with the highest international standards.

“It makes perfect sense for Dusit International to situate its first college outside Thailand in Manila.  Filipinos are well known and respected in the global hospitality industry as hard working, creative and dependable.  Culturally, Filipinos are warm, hospitable people with a natural inclination to succeed in the hospitality industry,” explains Lars Eltvik, DHMC and dusitD2 Hotel The Fort Managing Director, a 30-year veteran in international hospitality education and operations. “Dusit Hospitality Education is proud to establish in the Philippines and to bring to the country the very best of international educators in hospitality and culinary arts.  We want to introduce programmes and pedagogy of the highest international standard and in time contribute to more Filipinos and Asians excelling into senior management positions, both in the region and world-wide.”

The DHMC curriculum for the bachelor degree in hospitality management follows the Philippine Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED’s) standards. The programme is also approved and certified by École Hôtelière de Lausanne. Integrated in the programme the students must complete a 6 months internship. This can be completed in the Philippines or internationally.

Beyond the College’s international partnerships, DHMC promises its students ‘more than an education’ where they will gain work experience throughout the different areas of the hotel. Dusit Hospitality Management College is fully integrated with dusit D2 the Fort Manila hotel. This unique integration allows students to study as well as gain relevant work experience at different levels throughout all the departments in the hotel during their studies. The college occupies the first 9 floors of the 27-storey building where both students and hotel guests alike will enjoy and appreciate the ‘behind the scenes theme’ of the college and hotel.

Upon completion, the college and the dusitD2 The Fort Manila hotel will include world-class hospitality education facilities, including practical kitchens, 5 restaurant outlets, function rooms, recreational facilities including a swimming pool and fitness center, and 125 guest rooms.
