Hi guys

Well, I want to share with you my travel for the month of November 2017. I think this month is so far, my most travelled month of the year. I just came from a week travelled from Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand and just imagine how tired I am with all the walking and site seeing that I done.

Well, it seems that I still have enough energy because a day after my arrival to Manila, I again packed my bags and travel south.
I went back to Camarines Norte and this time, di na ko hagardo versosa like the previous visit because we manage to enjoy a beautiful weather.

We left around 9 pm last Nov. 17,2017 and travelled for about 8 hours by land (van). This time our destination is Vinzons and Capalonga.

Okey, let’s talk about Vinzons

While other sees Vinzons as the gateway to the Mahabang buhangin of Caramoan; Vinsons is also the home of tasty food and heritage.

Heritage
Did you know that Vinzons has a 406-old church?

St. Peter the Apostle Church

The church was burned last 2012 but because of the untiring love of the people, it was rebuilt and stood again to claim its glory
They manage to almost recreate it the way it was plus added more features
We were able to meet Father and he shared to us the history/story about the church

Bahay na Bato : Vinzons Ancestral House
There were only 30 Bahay na Bato left in Vinzons and we manage to visit one of them. The house was owned by Ramon Pajarillo,  this 100-year old is near the church and walking distance by the way, so you can visit it afterwards

Food
The last time we visit Camarines Norte, sinantol made an enormous impact to us that we cannot wait to taste it again
Estrela’s Garden serves a lot of dishes that’s really Bicolano

The owner was a bit shy when he said inform us that he can only serve us a few dishes because kinulang na daw sya ng oras para magluto

Hahahaha
Well, the moment he mentions that there is sinantol, we told him that he just said the magic word and that’s enough because we surely are having the great lunch that we want

Besides Sinantol, we were introduced to some delicacies they served in Vinzons

The kalamay as we called it were delicious,

Estela’s Garden is located at Purok 6, Poblacion 3, 427 Sto. Intierro St. Vinzons, Camarines Norte 4603

After lunch, we head on to Capalonga but that’s another story

So now you now that there is more to Vinzons than just being the gate way to Caramoan.

Be sure to visit the town of Vinzons
Be sure to make it this spot part of your side trip.
