I don’t normally go to the South area but when I do, there must be a good reason why .

Because of my love of steak and seafood, I found my reasons to visit Alabang and in particular the area of commerce center.

With the easy access of a P2P bus which would only cost me one hundred pesos from Makati. I was able to reach Ayala Town Center and just did a leisurely walk of about ten minutes to Commerce Center, Filinvest City in Alabang. Sound far if you are form the north area but then, with good food , good ambiance and hanging out with friends; it’s not. I actually envy the people who lives in the South since they could be able to experience this every day and any time they want especially during the weekend for some easy chill time.

I am talking about Akrotiri , a new restaurant that presents an exciting gastronomic experience that has fused together diverse coastal food cultures from all over the world—Akrotiri Modern Eurasian Cuisine.

Why and What to Loveat  Akrotiri Alabang

A feast of specialty menu was offered as part of Akrotiri’s comprehensive food choices—a classic Greek heritage of Mediterranean triad themes that overlap with Malay, Oriental, and European influences. Guests also had their fill from a wide selection of wines, spirits, and beer, as well as carefully curated cocktails that collectively reflect Akrotiri’s distinct coastal blending ethos.

The restaurant reflects modern Greek culture in its ability to make each meal an experience which connects both the food served and the people rediscovering their roots. It is a fusion of European and Asian cuisine that is traditionally marked with intense hospitality and generosity, and food is seen as a channel for affection.
The fundamental design decisions for the restaurant space are driven to make food an experience. Warmth and interaction are crucial, making flexibility a driving factor in accommodating families, friends and colleagues of all sizes over the most communal and affectionate of gastronomic experiences.

Akrotiri’s Menu is co-conceptualized by Chef Luca Maffei. An Italian chef with intricate taste to flavours and fusion, Chef Luca masterfully re-imagined Akrotiri’s food, bringing the blissful flavours of Asia and Euro-Greek cultures to our local cuisine. With 20 years of culinary experience in different parts of the world including Mykonos, Ibiza, Mexico & Thailand amongst others. Chef Luca is an Italian chef with intricate taste to flavours and fusion.

“We wanted to bring our knowledge to the Philippines and use all the incredible food that’s in the East and blended it with the West,” said Akrotiri General Manager, David Jones.
“Akrotini’s offerings reflect the Mediterranean classics, mainly Greek and other European influences but at the same time, we’ve localized the taste to create a new flavor. One can call it ‘fusion’, but we feel that ‘EurAsian’ highlights what we represent—an amalgamation of influences that have strong ties with the Philippine food culture.”
