Stop getting sad about small things, stop getting emotional over things that you can’t control. It’s time to be HAPPY and we deserve to be HAPPY
Happiness is just simple. Happiness is a choice
Millennials and other people of age genre now a days complicate happiness, many of us, yes including me have many things to say when ask, what does makes me happy? I agree that most of that is because of material things
That’s the aim of Cebuana Lhuillier, the leading and largest microfinancial services in the Philippines as they commemorate the International Day of Happiness last March 20, 2019 at the Happy Garden Café in Makati City, called as “Laugthernoon” adapting the worldwide theme of Happier One, Happier Together.
It was Cebuana Lhuillier Happiest Pinoy 2010 first grand winner Winston Maxino who give the first talk, he is a Corporate Executive with incurable bone disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis). In his message it was very clear that Maxino gives definite meaning to what happiness is all about, taking from his account he share a lot of inspiring story, on what a simple man can enjoy about Happiness.
He said that there are simple joys in life we forgot to called happiness, like a simple smile when you greet a close friend, that should be a happiness overload but yet we consider that just an ordinary thing happening daily, for him it is defined as Happiness that we all should abide. Remember the line, “Smile, and whole world smiles at you.”
“We have the right to pursue happiness but never, never at the expense of others, we honor the right of the people around us to be happy as well, so we cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect love and kindness.” Maxino said.
Next to discuss is Paolo Martin Trinidad, a laughter Yoga Instructor, he was featured in numerous TV show like Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, wherein he advocate smiling with science as escape to loneliness and depression.
For Trinidad, it’s the best way to start your day laughing, yes they maybe tag you as lunatic or insane, but one must try after waking up in bed, and the result is super effective. He emphasize that like our body, our face needs to exercise as well, and laughing is the only way to do that.
I am impressed with the portfolio of this man, he even reach jail inmates, police, Marawi siege crisis victims and even Yolanda victims are his past projects, that’s the reason why these people are all laughing despites what they encounter in lifes.
“They say that laughter is the perfect body workout, it’s because according to science 20 seconds of laughter even if it’s fake is already equivalent to 3 to 5 minutes of workout.” Say by Trinidad.
All of this are because of the multi awarded search for Happiest Pinoy goes a long way already as initiated Cebuana Lhuillier wayback 2010, the latest 2018 receives over a thousands of nominations that from here and abroad, either tru SMS and online application, it is also because they added 10 categories aside from the grand winner, and this are for the upstanding Filipinos representing many fields of life.
