Taytay,  is a 1st class municipality of Rizal and is known for its quality ready-made dresses and woodworks, earning the title “Garments and Woodworks Capital of the Philippines.” Commerce and industry is also a very active economic sector in the municipality.

Taytay also has the first SM Supermall in the Province of Rizal.

And speaking of SM City Taytay; let me share to you the best things about the mall

I was fortunate to live a ride a way to SM City Taytay and would probably be a regular customer when I transfer in Rizal.

As far as I am concern, this are my thoughts about SM City Taytay

Location wise, the mall is located in Manila East Road Taytay, Rizal. The mall consists of two buildings interconnected with a bridge featuring anchors like the SM Hypermarket, SM Department Store, SM Cinemas, SM Foodcourt, Watsons, SM Appliance Center, Ace Hardware and various shops and restaurants.

Going to and from SM City Taytay is accessible by private vehicles and public transport. There is also enough parking space on both side of the building

Everything you need is under one roof

Now, let’s talk about the restaurant

We all know that after all the shopping and going around, we would definite crave for food just like me. At SM City Taytay, there are three gems hidden in different part of the Mall.

First stop

Spicy Element

Spicy Elements serves Filipino comfort food with a twist. We were able to taste some of the restaurants specialty such as

Grilled Prawn Caesar Salad

Cost P 225.00

What I like about it that, it’s a total meal itself for me because of the prawns and the bacon for protein  plus I love the dressing that comes with it. Normally salad is just a bunch of lettuce and other leaves but because of the dressing, it was enjoyable.

Paella Negra

Cost : 475.00

With seafood on top of the paella, what else would you need but a pork and spoon.

Boneless Crispy Pata

Cost 595.00

Get ready with your batok, for this is really a killer ;

So soft and crunchy, that you just need your bare hands to dig in. With the atchara and other dips, you will surely eat a lot.

Another house specialty is the Ribs Solo

Cost 219.00

Let’s not forget the four-cheese mango Pizza

Cost 305.00

The crust is thin and therefore you will be overwhelmed with the four cheese toppings and the slices of mango

For my second gem

Let’s travel to Japan

Authentic takoyaki for us; The Jin-Zai

Different variants and unusual way to eat. I did not know that you can have takoyaki with rice; the tako rice and the Donburi and their Karaage. There a lot to choose from and you will keep coming back for more because of there are so many to choose from

Price starts at 70.00

And please don’t forget their Sakura White Milk Tea
