“Wow, bagong car, dapat comprehensive insurance para sigurado just in case may mangyaring accident!”
Scene # 2
“Uy, latest model ang mobile phone mo, naka cover ba ng maganda yan para iwas scratch saka safe kahit bumagsak?”
“First pay check ko! Libre ko kayu, san nyo gusto? Starbucks? Milktea?”
Scene # 4
Friend 2: “Bestie, may work ako – covered ng company lahat pati hmo and insurance.”
These are just some of the typical scenarios that I hear almost every day. Is it good or bad?
Some say it is okay, because – YOLO! You Only Live Once! So better to enjoy life at the moment and let the future take care of itself. Life is short and you only have one life to live! So why not just YOLO!
But then again, that’s just my point – life is short. You never what will happen the next day and there is no telling what life has in-store for you.
Lahat na lang napainsured mo na. Lahat na lang protected na. Except for one most important thing – YOU.
Yes! YOU! As much as you value the things you own or purchased, you must value yourself more. I dont know why people are so allergic when dealings are about insurance
Is it expensive? I dont think so. If you can compute just how much you spend on those latte drinks and milk – I think you are capable enough to get an investment on your own.
Are you afraid of the commitment kasi it will take years for you to pay? *wink
Ang daming dahilan di ba? Pero if you really want it, you will find a way to make it happen.
It took me a long time to convince my brother to get his investment/ insurance. He told me that he is working on a big company and he is fully covered. But till how long? An employer can only care for a person while he/she is working for them.
So instead of having that YOLO mindset, why not have the PYOLO mindset na lang? Plan, You Only Live Once!
An insurance with investment can cost you as little as Php100 pesos a day, especially if you are still young and healthy! Php100, almost the same as the cost of one milk tea!
But if you PYOLO, you don’t have to give up that milk tea or coffee habit. You just have to know how to plan and budget your finances! Have a goal.
Will you be ready if mabangga or magasgasan ang car mo?
Are you ready to face retirement? What if you get sick? Di ba ang sarap din sabihin, “Of course, I have planned for it as well! I finally have a life insurance plan!”
And that was how I convinced my brother. We talked about goals, the future, retirement, getting critically ill… and getting past all of it without having to need cash for it. Kasi, the insurance has got it all covered.
Today, I was happy to learn that my brother already signed off for his first ever Sun Life life insurance policy. He did meet with my financial advisor who helped him come up with a start-up plan. Sabi nga ng financial advisor namin, your first plan doesn’t need to cover for all of your goals all at once. It can be just your initial plan. Mabuti na ung mayroon kasya sa wala! From this initial plan, he can start building it up as time goes by. Or if some upgrades happen to him in terms of financial standing. Anyway, he’s living with a PYOLO mindset now!
How about you? Should it be “upgrade your phone” or “upgrade your future”?.
Talk to a Sun Life financial advisor and learn how you can start your journey to a brighter future. PYOLO!
