I love food and one of those that fascinates me is the Thai food. I love the laksa and the spring rolls and other noodles that goes well with herbs and spices. I recently discover a Thai restaurant in the Malakas St, Diliman that serves good Thai cuisine.

Located at the famous food haven in Diliman , Quezon City; Muang Thai re-open its door to loyal client for the past 22 years.
Muang Thai is known to be the place to eat to when it comes to modern twist Thai food.

Reasons Why you should visit Muang Thai Restaurant :

Yes, first all; it has a space not only for you but for your vehicle as well. We all known that dining outside is a hassle if you don’t have adequate space to park you vehicle. It’s the first thing that you would think about if you have your family with you as well. Muang Thai has spacious parking in front of its restaurant.

Muang Thai Restaurant is a two-story building that can accommodate up to 200 guest for any occasions. They have private room in the 2nd floor where guest can enjoy a more relaxing atmosphere while dining

What’s the sense of having all of the amenities and atmosphere if you can’t enjoy a good food. With Muang Thai’s mission; to satisfy all palates with dishes that deliver a modern twist to everyday Thai cravings. The 22-year old restaurant proves that some things just get better with age, especially now with their new look and menu.

Managing Director Regina Romero shares about the journey to the all-new Muang Thai, “We travelled to Bangkok to really immerse ourselves in the culture and the cuisine, as we saw the opportunity to introduce a new kind of Thai to patrons in the industry. We hope that the new Muang Thai will be loved by both old and new patrons.”

The revamped menu features classic Thai favorites and new dishes that have been meticulously developed by a young and very talented team. Muang Thai visitors will definitely be excited to try out each dish. Aspiring Chef Jolo Morales was heavily involved in the development process.

Old Muang Thai favorites such as Spring Rolls, Som Tum, Tom Yum Goong, and Pad Thai can be enjoyed alongside new dishes like Satay Gai (Chicken Satay), Hor Mok (Steamed Scallop Cake), Mu Krob (Crispy Pork Belly), Yum Som O (Pomelo Salad), and Frozen Thai Milk Tea.

The Muang Thai kitchen is led by Head Chef Louisie Guevarra. She was trained at the JW Marriott Hotel in Miami, Florida, and was Chef de Partie at Lombardi’s Authentic Italian back in 2014. She was also the Assistant Head Chef at Punta Bar and Restaurant in 2015.

The new Muang Thai Restaurant officially re-opens last September 26, 2018. You may visit them at 138 Malakas Street, Diliman, Quezon City, Monday-Sunday, 11AM-10PM. How to commute to Muang Thai Restaurant

For those who would like to visit the restaurant via public transportation. Muang Thai Restaurant is near the Sulo Hotel.
You can walk from East Ave cor Matalino Street. Malakas St is at the back of Philippine Heart Center (landmark) if you are coming from EDSA
You can also walk from Kalayaan Ave cor Matalino St. if you are coming from QC Circle
